Visual Artist & Photographer

I am self trained in Adobe Photoshop, GIMP, Photomatix, Apophysis, Mandelbulber2, Plotograph and other video and photo programs. I often can be found creating some art from images I have taken. 

Publications and Shows

In the past I have created advertising spots for the Saskatchewan Horse Federation magazine, while employed there as administrative support. I also get commissioned on a regular basis to create posters for concerts for local bands.

I am a published poet and have several poems in The Saskatchewan Poetry Society books called, "When The Wind Speaks" 2008-2009, and "Ensemble in Black Ink"  2010-2011.

I have won a spot on the front of the SaskTel phone book for the year 2015 for my "Abandoned Barn" image.

I am currently in Tourism Saskatchewan's calendar for December  2018 for my "Canadian Lynx" image, and was also in the 2015 calendar for June with my "Giant Rainbow over the Valley" image.

You can often find me shooting bands around Regina.

I am published in several editions of Folklore Magazine for my poetry and some old family historic images.

I have been invited to ART FARM, via jury, in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, to host my prints and crafts for sale in their show every year.  I have sold a variety of prints and crafts at the show. 

 

For Fun

I shoot all different types of images, including boudoir, landscape, macro, and long exposure. I often experiment with light painting, water drops, burning flowers, paints, ultraviolet lighting, inks and using odd props such as mannequins or old dolls. I often brave back roads to get shots of abandoned places.

I manage a Facebook Group called Photo Addicts - Reporting. I host storm images and daily favourites, weather updates, and videos from all over.

I often host amateur photographers out at my acreage, and take them out to abandoned places during the day or night, and help them to learn their cameras and how to set functions for the best images. I carry my camera 24-7, and rarely miss an opportunity for a photograph. I collect antiques and frequent auctions to find unusual things.
